In the summer of 2024, it seemed that the Aurora Borealis, or Northern Lights, were lighting up the skies more often, and further south, than usual. I felt inspired to create a series of night sky paintings, showing the dramatic colours of these natural light shows.
Each piece in the series is mixed media: acrylic and latex paints, spray paint, shellac-base primer, liquid asphalt (rubberized).
