AVAILABLE - Cross Canada Series - PEI: Red Sands at Sunset, 2024 (12x12")

In 2024 I was inspired to start a series of Canada-themed Square Foot paintings. My goal is to paint at least one iconic scene for each of the provinces (and territories, if possible).

Prince Edward Island is a special horseshoe just off the mainland, accessible by a very long bridge, or a relatively short ferry ride. PEI is known for many things, including its excellent potatoes, and the many beautiful beaches... especially the red sand ones. This painting represents a sunset walk on a quiet beach which is located down a residential road. Not many people know about it, which made us feel all the more privileged to be able to enjoy it.

Mixed Media: acrylic and latex paints, spray primer and paints, liquid asphalt (rubberized). Painted on cradled birch panel.
