AVAILABLE - Cross Canada Series - Ontario, Lakeside Sunset, 2024 (12x12")

In 2024 I was inspired to start a series of Canada-themed Square Foot paintings. My goal is to paint at least one iconic scene for each of the provinces (and territories, if possible).

Many Canadians know the experience of a summer day spent "at the lake." This painting represents that peaceful moment when the sun has already set, but the light and colours still linger in the sky. Maybe you are a bit tired from a day of water sports, and your shoulders are itching from a bit too much sun. Dinner was probably cooked on the BBQ. Chances are you will soon be sitting around a campfire, possibly roasting marshmallows skewered on sticks which you have cut from a tree and whittled to a point. S'mores, anyone?
