Forever/Never is is the first in my Maple Leaf Forever series. This, painting inspired by a love for the natural world and for Canada, features the repeated motif of the maple leaf. This artwork was built up in many layers and using contrasting colours, creating a distinctive texture and sense of depth. The overall effect is that of subtlety balanced with boldness.

Forever/Never invites you to consider what Canada - past, present, and future - means to you. The word Forever in the title refers to the song "The Maple Leaf Forever," and the word Never reflects our recent determination to remain an independent nation, never giving up our sovereignty.
