Inspired by nature, inspired by Canada, inspired by photography
IRL, the neon lighting along the horizon demanded my attention. I watched, spellbound, as the colours changed moment by moment. Eventually I looked around, and noticed the softer, dimmer, monochrome of the snow and trees in the foreground. I became fascinated by the contrast between the two areas - loud and quiet, supernatural and everyday. This combination feels like a metaphor for life.
Neon Horizon is part of my BC square foot series - mountains, water, skies, and trees, all inspired by our left coast province. Keeping it Canadian!
