AVAILABLE - PEI North Shore, Facing West, 2021 (40x32")

The summer of 2018 found us on Prince Edward Island, in a relatively remote and quirky seaside VRBO near Abrams Village. The nightly show, aka the sunset, was beyond words. I really wanted to recreate the feeling of that moment in time, including the flecks of light reflected in the water as the sun sank below the horizon. Though it took me a few years to get around to painting this view, it's a timeless scene, and I love the results.

Mixed media: acrylic and latex paints, liquid asphalt (rubberized), marble powder, and silt. Painted on gallery depth canvas. 

Please note that any cracking or crazing of the paint is intentional, and should not be considered a flaw.
