If you've been to Saskatchewan, you know that the terrain is very flat. There are few windbreaks, so the snow follows the wind unimpeded. For this painting, I wanted to recreate the effect of obscuring the landscape with paint, as the snow was doing in real life.
Mixed media: gesso for added texture, acrylic and latex paints, spray paint. Painted on gallery depth cradled birch panel; parts of the panel are left exposed.
