AVAILABLE - For the Trees (12x12")

For the Trees was inspired by our great forests. If you do a road trip across Canada, you can't help but notice how breathtakingly far they extend. Perhaps you will find yourself reflecting on how integral woodlands are to our identity, our economy, and even our health. Of course they are also home to so much of our flora and fauna.

With its limited colour palette and simple shapes, this piece is all about texture. The title was taken from the expression "can't see the forest for the trees." A forest can only be seen as a whole, from a distance, with some perspective. Get close and the forest disappears, you see only individual trees. A metaphor for life?
